Testimonials

Thank you for helping me find a great rehab. I am really glad I called. Privacy was a big concern for me. Alan was very knowledgeable about all the top-tier rehabs and helped me narrow it down to the ones where I could be sure my privacy would be respected. "

Janet J. "I just want to say thank you. You found me a rehab center where for the first time I was able to get the healing I needed in a quiet, private space without constant attention. All I could hear when I woke up in the morning was the sound of the ocean and the birds. It was exactly the kind of space I needed to heal."

Showing up for day one of rehab was the hardest day there
Filed under: Drug Treatment — Suki @ 3:04 pm

My time in a drug rehab center saved my life and made me whole again. I know that it sounds kind of cliche, but it is the truth. I was half the man that I used to be. Drugs and drug addiction took away most of who I was and barely left enough for the buzzards to pick over. I was an empty shell of a person and I felt like I was the walking dead. It was the worst time in my life and I was sure that my life was going to end. I finally decided that the only thing to do was to go to a drug rehab center and take care of my problem for real. I had to really get myself ready to embark on my journey through drug rehab. Once I was ready I enrolled in a drug treatment center and got myself into the program as quickly as possible. I knew that I was going to be able to turn my life around at the and that it was a matter of time before that happened. I’m so glad that I was right about going to drug treatment and I’m glad that it turned my life into the beautiful thing that it is today.

No addict is exempt from desperately needing rehab
Filed under: Drug Treatment — Suki @ 4:54 pm

Every addict needs drug rehab. Again, for clarity’s sake: Every addict needs drug rehab. No one is exempt. No one can beat drug abuse without drug treatment. If you or someone you care about is a victim of addiction, you need help. Please, for your own sake, don’t make the mistake of believing otherwise. With so much to lose, you just plain can’t afford not to win.>
The decision to seek drug rehab, of course, is never an easy one. Enrolling in a drug treatment center is a trying process, for the simple reason that enrolling in a means admitting impotence, and vulnerability. Drug addicts have a problem they can’t solve on their own. Only by accepting that fact do they ever stand a chance of getting better. No, it isn’t easy. But it’s essential. The stakes in the fight against addiction are higher than anyone could ever imagine. Failure isn’t a viable option. For you own sake, make today the day you start doing what you must.

Drug Addiction Treatment
Filed under: Drug Treatment — Suki @ 7:59 pm

You know, before I made into I always thought that the people who needed it were people who abused drugs to the point of addiction and then their lives were torn apart. I don’t think I was the only sap in the world who thought that, though. I mean, it was a long time ago, but I always remember those films they would show us in high school about the junkies whose habits engulfed their entire lives and destroyed their families and their careers. First, you’d see these guys before they started using and then you’d see them after getting hooked and they looked like these disheveled, slovenly dressed panhandlers with black circles under their eyes. That’s why I never worried about using drugs because I never looked like that. I’m a stock broker for God’s sake. I wear a suit and tie to work everyday and I still had my job. Granted, I definitely did my share of coke, but hey, I still had a job, a house, and a super nice car. No harm, no foul, right? Sure, I’d do about twenty-five toots a day from my bullet, but I was always on point. I didn’t see the problem.

Of course as time went on that all started to change. It really hit me one day when I forgot to bring my stash to work and I almost felt incomplete. It felt so weird to me when I realized that I genuinely felt like something was missing just because I didn’t have my blow. Well, it didn’t take to long after that for me to get some drug addiction treatment and turn my life around. It felt strange having to admit that I had a problem, but I had seen the light and I knew it was the best thing for me. When I think about the time in my life that I was using I can never understand how I thought nothing was wrong. Nowadays I’m completely sober and my head is much clearer. These days I don’t miss a thing.

Alcoholics
Filed under: Drug Treatment — Suki @ 7:06 pm

If alcoholics ruled the world, there would be no war. Of course, there would be no peace either. If alcoholics ruled the world, in fact, there wouldn’t be much of anything at all – except of course for drinking, and except for all those lies and rationalizations that make drinking possible in the first place.

The good news, obviously, is that alcoholics don’t rule the world. And because they don’t, alcoholism isn’t – doesn’t have to be – the end of the story.

If ruled the world, there would be no such thing as alcohol rehab. But they don’t, and there is.

The nature of the alcoholic mind is such that alcohol addicts cannot functionally conceive of sobriety. If you’ve experienced alcoholism yourself, you know how it is: The thought of getting sober feels like an impossibly distant dream, the sort of lark that you can think about only in the abstract, without ascribing to it any sort of meaningful reality.

If alcoholics ruled the world, recovery would never progress beyond that point. But they don’t. And it does.

drug rehab.
Filed under: Drug Treatment — Suki @ 8:39 pm

Want to know how to make drug rehab work for you? Easy: You’ve got to work for drug rehab. Some things are only as valuable as the effort you put into them. So it goes with drug rehab. If you want to get sober, you’ve got to fight for it; you’ve got to scrape and struggle and strain against all those burdens that would otherwise hold you back. Drug rehab works when you make it work. No bottom line could ever be important than that one.

The point here? Don’t sit around waiting for drug rehab to save you. Don’t assume that drug treatment doctors will be able to cure you with a magic pill, because that’s not how drug rehab happens, and that’s not what drug rehab is. You really can get better in a … but only if you want to, and only if you try. No drug rehab program in the world can take you anywhere you aren’t willing to go by yourself.

If you’re going to walk the road from addiction to sobriety, you’ve got to start by standing on your own two feet.
