In addiction treatment programs people with addictions finally face their fears. Being in addiction treatment isn’t just a piece of cake. It is an extremely large amount of work. Addiction treatment programs challenge a person to set goals for themselves and then it dares them to make those goals happen. It is truly an amazing thing. Imagine coming from a place where nobody cares about you or what you do, and then picture yourself stumbling into a place where you’re the star of the show. Okay, it’s not that grandiose, but it’s pretty damn close. I went in to one of the local addiction treatment programs feeling like a worthless piece of crap. After spending some time in the drug addiction treatment program, I started realizing how different my life was becoming. I started believing in myself and my ability to be free from addiction. Addiction treatment made it a possible dream and I became very open to turning my life around. It was never an easy task to do what I did, but I was ready to work on my life so I could truly make it better. Addiction treatment programs have been the foundation of countless stories like mine.
